Todd S. Hockett, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Todd S. Hockett is an optometrist specializing in comprehensive eye care, contact lens fitting and the diagnosis and management of ocular disease for patients of all ages. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, he is committed to providing personalized, patient-focused vision care while helping patients maintain long-term eye health and quality of life.
Dr. Hockett earned his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University after completing a Bachelor of Science in biology with minors in psychology and chemistry at Jacksonville University. During his clinical training, he completed rotations at Coastal Vision Center in Fernandina Beach, Florida, and with Indian Health Services at the Wind River Reservation in Ft. Washakie, Wyoming, where he provided eye care services to underserved populations.
Dr. Hockett joined Eye Center of St. Augustine in 2006, after working as an independent contracted optometrist. Throughout his career, he has performed comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens evaluations and ocular disease management while collaborating closely with ophthalmologists to support patient care.
Dr. Hockett has remained active in organized optometry and professional service, previously serving as president of the Northeast Florida Optometric Society and president of Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. In recognition of his humanitarian work providing eye exams and optical care in underserved communities, he received the Keeler Humanitarian Award in 2004.
Outside of work Dr Hockett enjoys traveling, cooking, competing in triathlons, and spending time with family.
